Our client, TES Canada, is developing innovative green hydrogen production projects in various regions of the country, including the Mauricie Project. Totalling a $4 billion investment for the region, the Mauricie Project consists of the construction of an electrolyzer as well as renewable energy production assets. Upon its commissioning in 2028, the project will produce 70,000 tonnes of green hydrogen exclusively dedicated to Québec end-users. TES Canada intends to produce green hydrogen and by-products to accelerate the energy transition away from fossil fuels.
In response to its rapid growth, TES Canada has created a new position and is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to assist the Vice President, Legal Affairs.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be involved in corporate law matters, setting up structures, and land acquisition, as well as project and bank financing. You will also be involved in commercial law matters, including service and supplier contracts, as well as equipment purchases. You’ll also advise internal divisions on contract interpretation and risk management, ensuring that practices comply with applicable regulations, as well as assist in setting up the legal function and the necessary processes.
Are you accustomed to sophisticated business law cases? Do you enjoy being at the heart of the action, have a keen practical sense, and demonstrate autonomy? We would like to discuss further. To qualify, you must have experience in corporate law or financing, be bilingual, and be a member of the Quebec Bar to qualify. Note that, given the company’s strong growth and the excitement that comes with it, the position involves constant interaction with colleagues, requiring you to be in the office every day except in exceptional circumstances (with scheduling flexibility obviously possible). This is a mandate entrusted exclusively to ZSA. CVs sent to or contacts made with TES Canada will be forwarded to ZSA for consideration.
