To meet demand, Velan is looking for a Legal Counsel. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Legal Affairs, you will complete the legal team, including a paralegal. You will play a key role in advising, drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts, including sales and supply contracts, confidentiality agreements, terms & conditions, and more. You will also be involved in intellectual property matters, particularly in managing and protecting the company’s patent portfolio: setting business strategy, licensing, registrations & renewals (in collaboration with external lawyers in the relevant jurisdictions), etc. Additionally, you will handle daily legal issues, claims or litigation management, import/export and compliance issues, as well as corporate law.
