In-house Lawyer | 2-4 years |  Vancouver 

Our client, a prominent independent, Canadian-owned, and operated private client and capital markets company, is seeking a talented litigation lawyer to join their dynamic team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of legal tasks, with a strong emphasis on ensuring securities regulatory compliance and managing external counsel on litigation matters. The financial knowledge needed for this position can be taught on the job!

Additional responsibilities include drafting contracts, handling internal preparation of discovery materials and other materials in support of litigation (including preparation of affidavit material). Preparing and drafting internal policies relating to updating compliance systems or notices to firm on compliance issues. Providing responses and support to various business units within the company relating to compliance inquiries. Over time, the role will also expand to include conducting internal investigations.
