Our client, Harnois Énergies, is committed to efficiently providing energy solutions, by distributing petroleum products, propane, lubricants and specialty products across Canada. Looking toward the future, the company is expanding its network of electric charging stations and gas stations offering hydrogen.
Founded in 1958, Harnois Énergies relies on its team of over 1,700 employees and provides products and services under the Esso and Mobil brands as well as its own private labels Harnois, Pétro-T, H-Go, Énergies Express, AFS Exécutif, Proxi and Proxi Extra. The company also operates convenience stores and offers food production sales under the Bon Appétit brand, among others.
Always seeking new development projects and to support its growth. Harnois is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join its team The team consists of a dozen professionals including five legal counsels, with this new hire, and five support staff.
In this newly created position, you will be based in the Joliette region. Reporting to the Senior Director, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary, you will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with the legislative and regulatory frameworks governing convenience stores, food products, and petroleum products. Your day-to-day work will be diverse, covering competition and regulatory issues related to food, the environment, tobacco sales, product labeling, gasoline pricing, petroleum product compliance and installations, and personal data protection.
You will provide legal advice on how to execute projects within the required legislative and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, you will serve as Secretary to the Board of Directors for affiliated companies and oversee risk management. Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, you will also be responsible for providing employee training.
Are you an action-oriented, creative individual with strong business acumen and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving?
