Our client, a management labour and employment Law Firm is looking to add a Legal Assistant to their team, this a an administrative role.
This is a Legal Assistant position supporting two or more lawyers with busy litigation practices. The primary duties will include document and calendar management, preparing correspondence and documents for court and tribunal proceedings, filing legal documents, some docketing and accounting assistance, and other administrative duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
– Experience in court and/or tribunal filings in a labour or civil ligation practice.
– Strong technical proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. We also use NetDocs and Soluno, but prior experience with those programs is not necessary.
– Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to deal professionally with others.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Ability to manage competing priorities and at times work under pressure and tight deadlines.
