Our client, Novacap, is a leading North American private equity firm with over C$8B of assets under management that has invested in more than 100 platform companies and completed more than 150 add-on acquisitions. Founded in 1981, Novacap specializes in mid-market buyouts and have a proven track record of driving growth and creating long-term value for its portfolio companies. Novacap has offices in Montreal, Toronto, and New York.

To continue its momentum, Novacap is seeking to add a member to its legal team, which already consists of several professionals.

In this role, you will manage the corporate affairs of Novacap funds: fund structures, required regulatory filings for funds in various jurisdictions and during acquisition transactions, obtaining regulatory approvals, and liaising with investors to address their information requests. You will be responsible for investor verifications (AML/KYC), among other duties. Additionally, you will be working alongside external counsel,  and participate in the corporate management of Novacap entities, ensuring compliance with partnership agreements and commitments to investors, as well as laws related to investor solicitation in relevant jurisdictions.
