As President, ZSA Québec | Legal Recruiter / Headhunter, Dominique is responsible for recruitment activities for the province of Québec and is also involved at the national level regarding the company’s strategic direction.
At ZSA since 2005, Dominique devotes her time exclusively to the recruitment of lawyers & notaries. She works on filling positions with both law firms and companies, whether start-ups, multinationals, boutique law firms or local, national and pan-Canadian law firms.
She has filled mandates at all levels of experience; partner group moves, firm mergers, departmental heads, vice-presidents of legal affairs, associates and legal counsel in all areas of law. She advises employers on the development of their departmental structure and on the budget needed to open new positions, identifies risks and potential challenges and accompanies them all along the recruitment process. As for lawyers, she acts as their agent, identifying the options available to them and advising them on how to achieve their career objectives in the best possible way.
Dominique is also responsible for overseeing the Montréal office team and establishing the office’s development, marketing and partnership strategies. She takes part in numerous events of the legal community, writes and gives interviews to the media on a regular basis, and since 2009 has run a bi-monthly column in a well-known legal blog on the leaders of the legal world (“Faisons parler les leaders”, http://www.droit-inc.com/Leaders). Prior to joining ZSA, she practised civil & commercial litigation at Robinson Sheppard Shapiro. A member of the Québec Bar since 2001, Dominique holds a Bachelor of Laws from Université Laval (Dean’s List) and a graduate degree in Business from the John Molson School of Business / Concordia University (with distinction).
Originally from beautiful Québec city, Dominique still keeps a pied-à-terre there. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and cooking, is a fan of decor and regularly spends time at the cottage in the Laurentians. While she certainly finds much significance and motivation in her work, it is her two little girls who are obviously her greatest pride!
