Our client, CVU, is a boutique firm of life insurance brokers who serve a sophisticated clientele of high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as family offices.

Their goal? To offer a unique service by providing tailor-made recommendations and solutions. Far from being a volume practice, CVU works on large-scale projects, each spanning several months, from the presentation of options and benefits to clients, to the numerous consultations that follow with life insurance companies, financial institutions, wealth managers and tax advisors, to establish the corporate structure, tax benefits, negotiation of terms and, where applicable, financing of premium payments.

To complete its team and meet growing demand, CVU is looking for a new team member not to practice law but to put to good use the qualities that go hand-in-hand with legal experience, which CVU views as a key to success. On a day-to-day basis you will act as the President’s “right-hand”, assisting her every step of the way.

Some of the ways you will put your many talents to use:

• writing skills for presentations;
• listening and communication skills to understand the customer’s objectives and maintain the relationship;
• project management skills to bring together the many stakeholders that have to be consulted and involved,
• rigor to grasp the complexities of the life insurance environment and apply its principles; and
• negotiating skills to help obtain approvals or modifications to standard policy or financing conditions, etc.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, are bilingual, and have 1 to 4 years relevant experience, we’d love to talk. Please note that prior knowledge of the life insurance industry is not necessary, although it is certainly an asset / you will receive the necessary training. First and foremost, we’re looking for someone with a good business sense who’s eager to jump in, with the possibility of climbing the ladder, by joining a small tightly-knit team that believes as much in excellence as in having fun at work. Note that a 4-day/week position could be an option, and that working remotely is possible 3-4 days/week. Offices are located in downtown Montreal.
